Our Sea Water Desalination Plants are designed to treat any kind of water using the Reverse Osmosis Technology. Desalination is a secure water source that doesn’t depend on rain.
How does desalination work?
Seawater desalination is the removal of salt and impurities from seawater to produce fresh water. Our desalination plants use a reverse osmosis process. Seawater is pumped into the desalination plant from the ocean and passes through pre-treatment filtration to remove most of the large and small particles.
The filtered seawater is then forced under pressure through special membranes whereby the osmosis process that normally occurs in nature is reversed. The pores in the membranes are so tiny that salt, bacteria, viruses and other impurities are separated from the seawater. In essence they act like microscopic strainers. About half of the water that enters the plant from the sea becomes fresh drinking water. The salt and other impurity removed from the sea water is then returned to the ocean via diffusers, which ensures it mixes quickly and prevents impacted the marine environment. The desalinated water is then subject to further treatment to meet drinking water standards before it reaches our customers.

There are three main stages of the wastewater treatment process, aptly known as primary, secondary and tertiary water treatment.
Wastewater and sewage, usually from a number of properties, are fed into the primary settlement tank where solids and liquids separate and the liquor flows into the biozone chamber. In the chamber, a pump aerates the waste and encourages good bacteria to digest the organic matter, breaking it down and purifying it.
The MBBR process utilizes floating plastic carriers (media) within the aeration tank to increase the amount of microorganisms available to treat the wastewater. The media provides increased surface area for the biological microorganisms to attach to and grow in the aeration tanks.

Product Description
UF's main attraction is its ability to purify, separate, and concentrate target macromolecules in continuous systems. UF does this by pressurizing the solution flow. The solvent and other dissolved components that pass through the membrane are known as permeate. The components that do not pass through are known as retentate. Depending on the Molecular Weight Cut off (MWCO) of the membrane used, macromolecules may be purified, separated, or concentrated in either fraction.
Currently, the study of UF processing occurs mainly in laboratory setups[citation needed] because it is very prone to membrane fouling caused by increased solute concentration at the membrane surface (either by macromolecular adsorption to internal pore structure of membrane, or aggregation of protein deposit on surface of membrane), which leads to concentration polarization (CP)). CP is the major culprit in decreasing permeates flux. Ultra Filtration is used as a pre-treatment step in reverse osmosis processes in many Middle Eastern countries to potable drinking water, as there is little fresh water available in those areas.

Softening is a process where Calcium and Magnesium ions are exchanged for Sodium ions. Calcium and Magnesium ions associated with Alkalinity contribute for scale formation. These ions are also called as Total hardness. The strong acid Cation exchange resin in Sodium form is used for softening the water. When the resin is exhausted, it is regenerated with brine solution (Sodium Chloride) 10 % or 15% brine solution is normally used for the regeneration. If the brine solution is passed from the bottom of the resin and service flow is from the top, then it is called as Up flow softener. If the service and regeneration flows are from top to bottom, then it is called as down flow softeners. The softeners are run up to the Hardness slip of 5 ppm as CaCO3 in the treated water, which is called as Industrial Zero hardness.
The idea behind a water softener is simple. The calcium and magnesium ions in the water are replaced with sodium ions. Since sodium does not precipitate out in pipes or react badly with soap, both of the problems of hard water are eliminated. To do the ion replacement, the water in the house runs through a bed of ion exchange resin. The resins are covered with sodium ions. As the water flows past the sodium ions, they swap places with the calcium and magnesium ions. Eventually, the resin contains nothing but calcium and magnesium and no sodium, and at this point they stop softening the water. It is then time to regenerate the ion exchange resin. Regeneration involves soaking the resin in a stream of sodium ions. Salt is sodium chloride, so the water softener mixes up a very strong brine solution and flushes it through the resin bed. The strong brine displaces all of the calcium and magnesium that has built up in the resin and replaces it again with sodium. The remaining brine plus all of the calcium and magnesium is flushed out through a drainpipe
